The Institute of National Importance (INI) is a status that the Indian Parliament can bestow on prominent public higher education institutions in the country.

The Government of India has given special honors, increased autonomy, and financing to the Institutes of National Importance.

There are 161 key national institutions in our country that are governed by several legislative statutes. Top 8 Institute of National Importance In Uttarakhand

1. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee click is one of the Institutes of National Importance in higher technical education, engineering, basic research, and applied research. Since its establishment, the institute has played an important role in pursuing research by providing the country with technical human resources and know-how.

The Institute is ranked among the world’s top technical institutions and has contributed to all areas of technological development. He is also recognized as a trendsetter in science, technology, and engineering education and research. On September 21, 2001, it was converted to IIT by a rule issued by the Government of India and declared as the “National Important Institution”, the 7th Indian Institute of Technology in India.

The Institute offers undergraduate programs in 10 fields of engineering and architecture, and graduate programs in 55 fields of engineering, applied sciences, architecture, and planning. The institute holds PhDs in all departments and research centers. The institute enrolls students in B.Tech. And B arch. A course by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) was conducted at various centers throughout India.

2. National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand

National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand (NITUK) click is one of the country’s 31 National Institutes of Technology. Since its inception, the institute has grown in many areas and has established itself as one of the best technical education institutions. NITUK was founded in 2009 by the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya) under Parliamentary Law. Currently, the institute has about 594 undergraduate students, 86 graduate students, and 106 doctoral students. Scholar.

The laboratory offers a full-time B. technology. And M.Tech. The Institute also holds a Ph.D. Various flow programs in engineering, natural sciences, and humanities. NITUK is also involved in a number of R & D activities funded by various governments and private organizations. NITUK has recently grown very rapidly in terms of launching new academic programs, revising the academic curriculum, and developing laboratories and infrastructure.

The bachelor’s degree program is credit-based and offers a large number of electives to students.  NITUK currently has 71 faculty members.

3. Indian Institute of Management Kashipur

Indian Institute of Management Kashipur click is a second-generation IIM founded by the Government of India in 2011. The aim for excellence in business education by adopting innovative teaching methods, promoting quality research, and practicing sustainable leadership.

 IIM Kashipur also offers executive education and its MBA for Working Executives (EMBA) is a professional two-year graduate program and also offers specialized short-term management development programs for leadership development, data analysis skills, interpersonal skills, and cross-disciplinary management skills. IIM Kashipur puts a great deal of emphasis on research and critical thinking.

The Ph.D. Program in Management is a full-time housing program tailored to the needs of professionals in research, education, and academic careers. The institute has established three outstanding centers that act as a crossroads for science, education, training, research, and consulting, bringing a pioneering interdisciplinary approach to the services of students, government, and private institutions.

The Institute has a strong student exchange program. We have several partnerships with major management agencies around the world, including Aalborg University in Denmark. Aruba Graduate Business School, Greece; ESDES, Lyon, France; Tel Aviv University, Israel; Lima University in Peru. Wu Sung University in South Korea. Linnaeus University, Sweden; Soochow University in Taiwan.

University of Salford, UK; FPT, Vietnam; Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand;  CTBC Business School in Taiwan. IIM Kashipur is a member of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (EMFD Quality Improvement System).

4. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh

All-Indian Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh click has been strategically deployed to address regional imbalances in health services, research, and education. It was founded by Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna in the first phase and was supported by the All-India Institute of Medical Science (Revised) Bill 2012 as an autonomous organization.

 Since then, it has transformed into a nationally important institute. In addition to MD / MS, DM / MCh, PDCC, MSc, Ph.D. Course, AIIMS Rishikesh currently offers a number of medical and related courses. These activities are overseen by nearly 300 faculty members. With the increasing frequency of routine outpatient clinics, 85 specialized clinics have been added since 201819.

Similar to the 200-bed hospitalization facility in 2013, it now has a capacity of 1060 beds. A 24-hour, 24/7 emergency service began in early 2017 and is now divided into trauma surgery and emergency medical services. Official work is currently being tracked through electronic governance systems to limit paper-based systems.

 AIIMS Rishikesh is collaborating with IIT Roorkee and Patanjali Yogpeeth on various research projects, the latter supporting AYUSH’s research. We have invested heavily in on-campus research grants to expand the breadth and depth of our research.

There are multiple diagnostic research units to support laboratory-based research. In addition, the Advanced Center for Continuous Professional Development provides ongoing support to faculty and other medical professionals to improve their clinical, research, and educational skills. Since its inception,

 AIIMS Rishikesh has been actively involved in curriculum and teaching methods aimed at international standards. For example, including a humanities course as an integral part of MBBS education aims to develop humanitarian physicians.

5. Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration

Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) click Mussoorie is a premier training institution for civil services in India. It is headed by a director (an officer of the level of Secretary to the Government of India) and is an attached office of the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India. 

On April 15, 1958, the then Union Home Minister Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant announced in the Lok Sabha, that the Government would set up a National Academy of Administration, where training would be given to all the recruits of the Civil Services. The Ministry of Home Affairs also decided to amalgamate the IAS Training School, Delhi, and the IAS Staff College, Shimla to form a National Academy of Administration to be set up in Mussoorie`s Charleville Estate.

The name of the academy was changed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration in October 1972, and the word “National” was added in July 1973. The academy is now known as the Larva Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Management (LBSNAA). Subsequent expansions were made, several new buildings were built, and others were acquired over the years. We carry out a common basic course for participants in the All India Service.

Indian Foreign Service; Union and Royal Bhutan Services Group “A” services will be followed by vocational training for new employees of the regular Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and members of the Royal Bhutan Services.

The Academy also offers in-service and mid-career recruitment training programs (MCTP) for IAS members and introductory training programs for civil servants who have been promoted from state civil servants to IAS. In addition, workshops and seminars on political and governance-related topics will be held from time to time.

6. Forest Research Institute

Forest Research Institute (FRI) click Dehradun has made a humble start as a Forest School founded in 1878. Originally known as the Imperial Forest Research Institute, FRI was founded in 1906. After, it was renamed the Forest Research Institute and University, with numerous centers throughout the country managing the research and training of forest officers and rangers.

After the reorganization of domestic forestry research and the establishment of the Indian Forestry Research and Education Council (ICFRE) in 1988, the Training and Research Center was given the status of an independent institution.

The Forest Research Institute, one of the laboratories currently under the umbrella of ICFRE, was granted the status of a deemed university in December 1991 at the recommendation of UGC, the Human Resources Development Bureau of the Government of India.

The main purpose of the Forestry Institute is to provide education, and research, and promote and disseminate knowledge about forestry and the environment in areas of forestry and environment that are deemed appropriate. The areas pursued by the Institute are forestry, resource research and management, social forestry, small forest products, ecology and conversation, genetics and tree breeding, forest conservation, forest botanicals, forest products, and forest management.

Focus areas include biodiversity, tree improvement and high-quality seed production, non-timber forest products, social forestry, wasteland planting, and the design and development of modern forestry tools.

Raise people’s awareness of forests and the environment through dissemination programs. To take all other actions and matters necessary or desirable to promote the protection of the environment and forests and wildlife.

7. Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy

Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (GFA) click was founded in 1987 by renaming the former Indian Forest University, which was originally established in 1938 to train senior forest officials. It is located on the  Forest Research Institute (FRI) New Forest Campus on Chakrata Road (NH72), 5 km from Dehradun.

IGNFA is currently functioning as a staff college for Indian Forest Services (IFS) officers. The Academy’s main mission is to provide knowledge and skills to professional forest managers and to help develop the capacity for sustainable management of national forests and wildlife resources. In addition to training newcomers to Indian Forest Services, the Academy offers training at various senior levels of Indian Forest Services.

Professional Forestry training for IFoS Probationers through a series of classroom sessions, tours, excursions, and specialized modules. It nurtures young foresters capable of making difference in the management of ecological assets of our country besides inculcating human values and professional ethics amongst them.

The institute provides a Skill Upgradation Programme for State Forest Service (SFS) officers inducted into IFoS to sensitize and orient them to the ethos and functioning of All India Services and to keep them abreast with the rapidly changing scenario of forest management, development, and administration. 

Mid Career Training (MCT) program for IFoS officers in three phases of the service viz III, IV, and V meant for the seniority 7 to 9, 16 to 18, and 26 to 28 years respectively. It aims to provide the best training opportunities to the officers by roping in some of the leading training institutions in the country and abroad.

Staff will be given the opportunity to interact with experts in their respective fields and become familiar with the best natural resource management practices abroad.

Three all-India service training programs and workshops that are members of the Higher Justice are with executive trainees from other services with the aim of providing a platform for exchanging experience and new knowledge in the field of forest management. I will get in touch with you.

8. Indian Military Academy

Indian Military Academy click is another birthplace of leadership. There are four main entries to enter IMA. In the final year of graduation, you will need to attend the IMA as a direct entry if you have passed the Combined Defense Services Exam, passed the SSB, are medically fit and benefit.

The other entry is the 10 + 2 Tech Entry, which you will apply for after the 12th exam. The College Admissions Program is for those who wish to apply for the Army in the Engineering Prefinal / Final Year. Those who have completed BE / B Tech with the notified stream can also take the IMA Technical Graduate course.

The selection method is the same as IMA (Direct Entry), but there is no written test. The training period is one and a half years for IMA (DE), five years for 10 + 2 TES (including one year after a test run) (1 year for IMA, 4 years for Cadet Training Wings), and everything else. One year for entry.

IMA trains you to lead head-on. You are trained in all aspects of combat and tactics using technology and other modern tools and technologies.  The IMA has excellent facilities for all-round development. You can go for adventure sports like river rafting, Para jumping, rock climbing, trekking, and mountaineering. 

From the IMA, you`re commissioned as a “Lieutenant” in the Indian Army, to go out into the world and live up to the IMA motto “Valour & Wisdom”.
