UGC Criteria for Assistant Professor Post Shortlisting

The UGC regulations on minimum requirements for assistant professor appointments specify a total of 100 marks for the shortlisting criterion for interviews Of assistant professors in universities and other academic personnel in institutions

Academic score  For Graduation   Graduation with an 80% or higher is worth 15 Marks   Graduaction with 60% to 80% = 13 Marks   Graducation with 55% less then 60% = 10.2 Marks

Academic score  For Post Graduation  Post Graduation (PG) 80% or higher post-graduation = 28 Marks   Post Graduation with 60% to less than 80% = 25 Marks    Post Graduation  with 55% to 60% = 20 Marks

M.Phil.  Degree Score  M.Phil. 60% and up = 07 Marks   M.Phil with 55% to less than 60% = 05 Marks

Ph.D  Degree Score  30 marks For Only Phd and  M.Phil + Ph.D Maximum– 30 Marks  

NET with JRF   07 Marks   and only NET   05 marks  JRF/NET/SET Maximum - 07 Marks

 Note: SET/SLET score shall be valid for appointment in respective State Universities/Colleges/Institutions only

10 Pints for Research Publication (2 points for each research publication included in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals)

10 Pints For  Teaching experience Teaching and Post-Doctoral Experience (2 marks for one year each)
